As the Shared Services and Outsourcing Week Europe 2026 approaches, we are pleased to highlight one of this year’s most anticipated sessions. The conversation around AI adoption in GBS continues to accelerate, and this session—featured on the Maturity Stage within the GBS Reinvention Panel—promises to offer both strategic perspective and practical direction.
Taking place on 19 May at 16:45, “Embrace Your Journey Towards an AI‑Empowered Organisation” brings together two experienced industry leaders who have been directly involved in shaping AI‑driven transformation across global operations. Their combined expertise will help attendees understand how to approach AI not just as a technological upgrade, but as a holistic organisational evolution.
A Closer Look at the Session
The discussion will be led by Robert Godziszewski, Executive Business Director at Adaptive Solutions & Advisory Group, and Paweł Płocki, Managing Director of GBS Europe at TRUMPF. Both speakers represent organisations that have navigated multiple waves of digital transformation and understand the practical realities of building maturity in complex, multinational environments.
During the session, they will examine what it truly means to become an AI‑empowered organisation—beyond piloting tools or experimenting with isolated initiatives. The speakers will explore how governance, operating model design, leadership mindset, and process ownership must evolve to support meaningful adoption of AI. A particular emphasis will be placed on moving from experimentation to scaled value creation, as well as redefining capabilities and competencies within modern GBS teams.
Attendees can expect a grounded discussion focusing on real examples, lessons learned, and the stages organisations typically move through as they progress in their AI maturity. Whether a company is at the beginning of its journey or in the process of scaling, the session will offer guidance on what comes next and how to prepare for the changes ahead.
Why This Topic Matters Now
The role of GBS continues to shift from traditional service delivery toward becoming a strategic, digitally enabled partner within global organisations. AI—when integrated thoughtfully—has the potential to accelerate that shift by improving operational efficiency, enhancing decision‑making, and enabling new levels of automation and insight.
However, with opportunity comes complexity. Organisations must navigate questions around data readiness, talent upskilling, risk management, and cross‑functional alignment. The session aims to address these challenges directly, offering a clear view of what it takes to build an organisation capable of using AI confidently and responsibly.
Continue the Conversation
Following the session, attendees are invited to join us at the Wine Corner, prepared in partnership with Invest in Lodz (Central Poland). This informal gathering will provide an opportunity to meet the speakers, exchange perspectives with peers, and continue discussions in a relaxed networking setting.
We look forward to contributing to the dialogue on how AI is reshaping the future of GBS and to connecting with the community during SSOW Europe 2026.
